myDORM Privacy Policy

myDORM is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) explains how we collect, use, process and transfer information that we obtain about visitors to the myDORM website owned and controlled by myDORM (the “Site”) and the services available through the Site (collectively, the “Services”). The terms ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘myDORM’ are each intended as reference to myDORM. For users accessing the Site from the European Union, myDORM is the data controller for the processing of Personal Information under applicable law.
This Privacy Policy describes how myDORM collects, uses, processes, transfers and secures the Personal Information that you provide, and it also describes your choices regarding use, access and correction of your Personal Information. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, Personal Information shall mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This Privacy Policy applies only to information that we collect, process and use within the Site and does not apply to any third party Website to which the Site may link to. Please note that your use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Use Agreement.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information about you to provide our Services. The types of information that we collect while you use the Site are described below and include both information that you provide to us and information that we collect automatically when you use the Site.
A. Information You Provide
In the course of providing our Services, the type of Personal Information we collect or receive depends on how you use our Site and Services. You are not required to provide any information to access our Site, review school dormitories or to upload any images to our Site. However, we may ask you to provide us with information that could reasonably be used to identify you personally, such as your name, phone number, email address, date of birth and physical address (“Personal Information”). We may collect this information through various forms and in various places through the Services, including contact us forms, or when you otherwise interact with us. For example, we may collect Personal Information from you when you enter a sweepstakes posted on our Site or if you subscribe to an email newsletter on our site. You may also email us or provide us with comments and feedback concerning the Site generally. By communicating with us in these ways, you may provide us with your email address, and other Personal Information. The submission of Personal Information is completely voluntary but is required to gain access to these additional Services.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
When you use the Site, we automatically collect certain information (described below), including technical information about browser type, areas of the Site visited, date and time of access, host or service provided information, and identification of the referring site.
i. IP Address:
We may record the Internet Protocol (“IP”) address of your computer or other electronic device when you visit the Site. We also may use your IP address to provide you with personalized content.

We may also combine information about you that we collect from our Site with information we have collected from offline sources, as well as with information provided to us by third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
We have a legitimate interest to use the information we collect to provide you the Services you request, communicate with you, improve your experience on our Site, generally improve our product offerings and Services, security of our Site and your information, and for other internal business and administrative purposes. These uses may include the recording, storage, alteration, retrieval, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, restriction, erasure or destruction of Personal Information. We will retain your Personal Information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. When you register to gain access to our Site Services, the Personal Information that you provide will be used to deliver the Service you requested. You may opt-out from receiving these email newsletters at any time by contacting myDORM below or using the unsubscribe mechanism included with the email newsletter.
When you browse our Site, the choices you make may provide information concerning your interests, and the appeal and efficacy of associated Site features. This information will be used to improve our Services. This information may also be used to identify school dormitories for which you might be interested in.
3. Third Party Disclosure
We may share non-personally identifiable information, such as aggregated user statistics, with third parties. In addition, we may share with third parties (including to advertisers and marketers) the information we have collected about you, including Personal Information, as disclosed at the time you provide your information and as described below or otherwise in this Privacy Policy.
A. For Third Party Marketing Purposes
We may rent, sell or otherwise disclose your Personal Information or usage information to advertisers, marketers, sponsors, business partners and other third parties for their use (including for them to directly market to you). If you do not want us to share with third parties your Personal Information for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes, you can contact us, by email or by letter, using the contact information set forth in section 9 below. Please include "Third-Party Marketing Opt-Out" in the subject line of your email or letter.
B. For Sweepstakes, Contests and Promotions
We may offer sweepstakes, contests, and other promotions (any, a “Promotion”) through the Services that may require registration for the Promotion. Promotions are open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, and if you do not reside in one of these locations, you may not register for or participate in a Promotion.
By participating in a Promotion, you are agreeing to official rules that govern that Promotion, which may contain specific requirements, including, allowing the sponsor of the Promotion to use your name, voice and/or likeness in advertising or marketing associated with the Promotion. If you choose to enter a Promotion, Personal Information may be disclosed to third parties or the public in connection with the administration of such Promotion, including, in connection with winner selection, prize fulfillment, and as required by law or permitted by the Promotion’s official rules, such as on a winners list.
C. For Administrative and Legal Purposes
We may access, use, store, transfer and disclose your information (including Personal Information) with third parties, if required, to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on myDORM or its Site; (b) protect or defend the rights or property of myDORM, its Site or its web site users or (c) enforce our terms of service. We may also disclose your Personal Information to any successor-in-interest such as a company that acquires us. In the event we enter into a business transaction, merger or acquisition by or with another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information will likely be among the assets transferred.
4. European Union Resident Rights

- You may object to myDORM processing your Personal Information, ask us to restrict processing of your Personal Information or request portability of your Personal Information. You can exercise these rights by contacting using the contact details below.
- You have the right opt-out of any marketing communications we send to you at any time. You may exercise this right by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link in the marketing emails that we send to you. Or you may reply to any of our marketing emails requesting to be removed from our email database.
- If we have previously collected and processed your Personal Information with your consent, you can withdraw this consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal, nor will it affect processing of your Personal Information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.
- You have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your Personal Information. For more information, contact your local data protection authority.
We will respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable laws. We reserve the right to keep any information in our archives that we deem necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
5. Security
We employ physical, electronic and managerial measure to safeguard the information we collect online. While no company can fully eliminate all security risks, we cannot make guarantees about any part of our Services. You are responsible for keeping your username and password secure and secret.
6. Accessing our Site Globally
The Site is owned and operated by myDORM in the United States and all information collected, stored or otherwise processed by myDORM is done in the United States. If you are visiting our Site from a country outside of the United States, your communication with us will necessarily result in the transfer of information across international borders to the United States and you acknowledge and consent to this transfer. By using our Site, you understand and agree that your Personal Information will be stored and processed in the United States in a manner consistent with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to our Privacy Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time, but we will provide prominent advance notice of any material changes to this Privacy Policy by posting a notice on our Site or sending you an email, to provide you with the opportunity to review the changes and choose whether to continue using the Services.
8. Privacy Protection for Children
Our Site are not directed at children, and we will not accept or request Personal Information from individuals we know to be under 16. If we learn that a child under 16 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete this information from our databases.
