Resident Reviews of Twombly Hall

The dorm rooms were spacious for one person, but if you had another roommate, it was rather cramped. The bathroom quality is atrocious, and it did not feel like an optimal living space. The one thing I loved about the dorm hall is the location. It was really close to the dining hall and the other dorm halls to hang out with friends. Parking lot was far, but doable. Overall, I can’t wait for the new suites next semester.

Dorms at FDU are interesting. The dorm I lived in the past few years is mid. No built in bathroom and the communal bathrooms are not great. Odorous, slightly decrepit, and you need an ID to enter, so friends cannot get in unless you give them your ID. And you’re unable to access the opposite gender’s bathroom, so friends of the opposite gender have to either go into the wrong bathroom or hold it. The room itself was fine. The chairs were awful and ripped up, but the desks and night tables were in good shape. My own bed was fine but my roommates bed would squeak constantly, occasionally disturbing me at night. Overall it was an okay experience. I’m changing dorms next year which I hope to have an improved experience.
